2008 Fall Baseball

Maidu Little League is once again offering its fall baseball program.  Fall ball is an ideal time for players and coaches to improve their skills and have fun during the off-season. Since standings are not kept, rosters hold more players than regular-season rosters, allowing players who are participating in other sports to also play fall baseball and be here when they can make it. There are generally two games a week, one on a weeknight and one on a weekend. Games are played against teams from other neighboring leagues and at some of the other Little League parks around Roseville (and for the Juniors and Seniors) beyond Roseville.

We offer play at the Minor, Major, and Junior levels and will accept registrations from Senior division players this year to see how heavy the interest is at that level.   Registration fees are just $85 per player. Play starts after the Labor Day holiday and continues to about the second week in November, with between sixteen and twenty games being played. Substitution rules are relaxed so all players bat an equal amount and play multiple positions. For players who are looking to make the jump from AA to AAA Minors or from Minors to Majors, or especially from Majors to the larger Junior diamond, this is a great opportunity to evaluate your playing level and grow as a player.

As much as possible, we will honor requests that a player be placed with a certain manager or with other players, while still trying to balance the teams from Maidu Little League.  For age determination, the player's playing age for the 2009 spring season" & "April 30, 2009 will establish playing age for fall baseball.  Age breakdown for the divisions is a bit relaxed, but the general guideline is as follows:
