RECENT GAME RESULTS

The Junior Twins took full advantage of a complete game pitching performance from Jared Phelan on Saturday, capturing the initial meeting of the season with the Cubs 8-2. Phelan scattered five hits over the seven inning contest, and was aided by a strong defensive effort behind him. Hunter Phillips, Brodie Scott, Mack Boone, and Kevin Cox all turned in solid performances with the leather. Boone banged out three hits to pace the Twins offense, while Scott and Jared Walbert each added two hits.
The win followed an impressive Thursday night 18-2 trouncing of Folsom American at Lembi Park. Boone struck out ten in that game, while Boone, Walbert, and Phelan were the hitting heroes for the Maidu club.

The Major Red Sox scored six in the top of the fourth inning to bust open a 3-3 ballgame in taking an 11-5 win over the Orioles Saturday at Maidu Park. RJ Johnson was solid in relief for the Sox, while Robert Walton, Keisha Johnson, and Joey Rosnack keyed the offense. John Hynes and Luke Rodgers each had two base hits for the O's.
Over at Crestmont Park, the Major Padres hung tough with the RELL-leading White Sox before dropping a 7-3 decision. Colin Harrigan delivered a strong outing on the hill for the Pads, and also added two hits.
